When one of the only spaces dedicated to LGBTQ individuals in San Marcos, Texas shuts down, how does the community react? That’s what I wanted to find out when I interviewed Madi Rivas, a previous performer at Stonewall Warehouse.
One thing I’m proud of with this project is the audio mixing. I think that it sounds really professional even though I had never used the Adobe Audition program.
Something I found difficult was getting natural sound for the story. Originally I had some audio from walking past a noisy bar on the square one night, but I felt that it was too noisy and didn’t add to my story. Then I had the idea to use my own audio from a New Years Eve party. This was relevant to my story due to the time of the closure.
